March 1st: Here's what happened this week at the Statehouse
As the ninth full week of the 2019 legislative session comes to an end, Women4Change continues to be YOUR eyes and ears in the Indiana Statehouse.
Here is what else we were following this week:
SB 243 ('Nonconsensual pornography') had a third reading in the Senate and was passed on to the House.
SB 192 (‘Nonconsensual pornography’) had its first reading in the House and was assigned to Courts and Criminal Code
SB 201 (‘Health provider ethical exemption’) had its first reading in the House and was assigned to Public Policy
A big thank you to our members for continuing to our work at the Statehouse. We had Women4Change members sending a clear message to our lawmakers through the following activity:

Next week:
We are now at the halfway point for the Indiana General Assembly’s 2019 legislative session. Both chambers were required to have passed all bills on third reading by Monday, February 25th for the House, and Tuesday, February 26th for the Senate, in order to continue on in the process towards becoming law. If a bill did not reach this benchmark, the bill is presumably “dead” for the session, although language may be inserted into another bill in the second half.
Both the House and Senate will reconvene Monday, March 4th to begin the second half of session.
