Summit serves as donation location for The Julian Center and Support the Girls
Attendees of the Women4Change Indiana summit scheduled for February 7, 2017, are invited to bring items to donate to women-serving organizations The Julian Center and Support the Girls.
The Julian Center has been supporting victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other life crises since 1975. The organization requests donations of nonperishable food items, toiletries, linens, clothing, diapers and paper goods. Click here for a full list of the most-needed items.
The Julian Center also requests notes of encouragement to share with guests. Please bring a 3x5 card with a words of support for a women building a life free from violence. Examples of encouraging words include, “You are strong and will succeed” and “You are not alone.”
Support the Girls-Indianapolis collects and distributes new and gently used bras and new feminine hygiene products to women who are homeless and at-risk. In 2016, the organization provided 10,000 bras and more than 40,000 feminine hygiene products to women in shelters around Indiana.
