Landmark Supreme Court Decision Affirms LGBTQ+ Rights

Women4Change has long advocated for the equity of all women, regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, or sexual orientation.

This past Monday, June 15th, the Supreme Court affirmed that it is illegal for employers to fire or otherwise discriminate against an employee simply because they are LGBTQ. This decision marks a huge step forward in affirming legal protections in education, housing, credit, and health care—areas where too many LGBTQ people, particularly Black and Brown LGBTQ people, still face discrimination.
