New Book Recommendation!

We are excited to share a new book with you.! It’s called “From Property to Partner: Women’s Progress and Political Resistance”. It was co-written by attorney, professor, former Executive Director of the ACLU Indiana, Women4Change member since the beginning and Civic Education Committee Member Sheila Seuss Kennedy and former Director of the Indiana Business Research Center at the Kelley School of Business at IU, economist and podcaster Morton Marcus. 

The book was intended to document scientific and technological advances that accelerated women’s progress, like the advent of the birth control pill. But after the 2022 Dobbs ruling, the book took on new meaning. It asks, what does this mean for women? How will we respond? And what will the political consequences of the ruling be? After all, we were moving forward before the ruling. What does it mean to take a big step back?
