March 22nd: Here's what happened this week at the Indiana Statehouse

As the twelfth full week of the 2019 legislative session comes to an end, Women4Change continues to be YOUR eyes and ears in the Indiana Statehouse.

A big thank you to our members for continuing to our work at the Statehouse. We had Women4Change members sending a clear message to our lawmakers through the following activity:

  1. Thank you to those who attended Women Behaving Badly! It was a wonderful learning experience about the women in our state who have made a difference.

Next week:

  1. HB 1211 ('Abortion matters') is scheduled for a hearing by the Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday, 27 March 2019 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM in the Senate Chamber.

  2. SB 192 (‘Nonconsensual pornography’) is scheduled for a hearing by the House Judiciary Committee on Monday, 25 March 2019 from 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM in State House Room 156-D.

  3. HB 1311 (‘Absentee ballots’) is scheduled for a third hearing in the Senate on Monday, 25 March 2019 at 1:30 PM.

  4. HB 1547 (‘Consent to pregnancy services of a minor’) is scheduled for a hearing by the Senate Health and Provider Services Committee on Wednesday, 27 March at 9:00 AM in room 431.

If you can not attend a meeting at the Statehouse during the legislative session consider attending these town hall meetings.
