Attendees will acquire a foundational understanding of the opioid public health crisis and the contributing factors and solutions.
Attendees will be trained on how to administer the opioid overdose reversal drug Naloxone (brand name NARCAN).
1. Attendees will learn about the contributors and risk factors in the opioid public health crisis.
2. Attendees will understand the magnitude of the opioid public health crisis and most recent data.
3. Attendees will know the signs and symptoms of opioid and heroin use/misuse.
4. Attendees will learn to recognize an opioid overdose and proper overdose intervention.
5. Attendees will learn about the 8 proven solutions to address in the crisis.
Space is limited to the first 50 people who sign up.
There is no charge for the event, but donations to cover the cost of the Naloxone are welcomed.
