El Tendedero/The Clothesline Indiana transforms a symbol of traditional feminine roles into forums for conversation about violence against women. Join us virtually for a panel discussion featuring artists, activists, and policymakers whose collaboration resulted in action at the Statehouse that will improve the lives of Hoosier women for years to come.
Panelists include Chelsea Anderson, former artistic director, Phoenix Theatre; Deborah Asante, founder, Asante Children’s Theatre; Tracey Horth Krueger, executive director of the Indiana Coalition to End Sexual Assault & Human Trafficking; and Rima Shahid, executive director of Women4Change. Shannon M. Linker, vice president, Arts Council of Indianapolis, and curator of El Tendedero/The Clothesline Exhibition, which opens Nov. 6 at Gallery 924, will moderate the discussion.
The November exhibition will feature Indianapolis-based artists Darlene Delbecq, Beatriz Vasquez, and Samantha Veach. Learn more here about how El Tendedero/The Clothesline Indiana sexual assault awareness campaign began.
