Fandango at the Wall

The Indianapolis Propylaeum, along with Women for Change, will be offering a unique opportunity to hear from the filmmakers of Fandango at the Wall, a new HBO documentary. This virtual round table will feature a moderated panel discussion with four of the film’s creators. Fandango at the Wall premiered on HBO in August 2020 and tells the story of the Fandango Fronterizo, a music and dance festival that takes place at the US/Mexico border wall in Veracruz, Mexico. Our panel discussion will include film director Varda Bar-Kar, film subject and pianist Arturo O'Farrill (also the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra founder/conductor), Fandango Fronterizo organizer Jorge Francisco Castillo, and film producer Kabir Seghal.

Our panel discussion will take place on November 23rd at 6:30pm via Zoom. This program is free and open to the public. All registrants will receive a link to watch the film ahead of the discussion. Below is a link to sign up for the program, as well a trailer for the film.
