Bridging Political and Interpersonal Gaps
A poll taken after the 2016 election of thousands of people in all 50 states found that 16% had stopped speaking to a family member or close friend over politics. This finding suggests the unraveling of 50 million relationships.
In an effort to reverse this trend in Indiana, a group of community partners including JCC Indianapolis, Congregation Beth-El Zedeck, the Center for Interfaith Cooperation, Civic Renaissance and Women4Change Indiana will be presenting a screening of the short film PURPLE (blue and red=purple) followed by an interactive skill-building session and discussion with one of PURPLE's creators and the Co-Executive Director of political mediation organization Resetting the Table.
Zoom link will be made available to registrants two days, two hours and 10 minutes before the program (this means registration will end 15 minutes before the program begins).
This program is made possible in part with the generous support of Indiana Humanities and the National Endowment for the Humanities.
