We connect with inspiring women in history through our continued resilience. Revolutionary women made it possible to vote and have a voice, State of Women is here to continue that legacy. The pandemic exacerbated the issues already affecting Hoosier women and women of color in particular. This conference will dive into redistricting and voting access, women’s economic stability, equity and human infrastructure, and what you can do to help.
State of Women came to fruition in response to the 2015 Status of Women in Indiana report card published by the Institute for Women’s Policy Research (IWPR) in Washington, D.C.. Currently, Indiana is ranked 43rd in the nation overall and last in the category of Work & Family.
